The American Gradual 2020 is the latest edition of a comprehensive adaptation of the Roman Mass Proper to contemporary English words. It allows English-speaking congregations to incorporate Gregorian chant into vernacular worship.
Part I of the collection is now available. It contains Introits, Offertories, and Communions, as well as other chants of especial significance for particular occasions. It is published in two formats:
The above use conventional 4-line chant notation; an edition that uses modern 5-line notation is in progress.
Part II of the collection is also in progress and will contain Graduals, Alleluias, and Tracts.
